el_class=&#8221;padding5&#8243;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;RFID TAGS&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%230f4996&#8243; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passive, semi-passive, active<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Various frequencies \u2013 LF, HF,\u00a0UHF, Microwave, UWB<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Performance dependent on environment, tagged materials and tag position<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Environment\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\"><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>A lot of metal \u2013 reflections,\u00a0interference, diminished\u00a0read range, or reading what\u2019s not desired \u2013 solved by shielding, tuning, antenna tilt.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>A lot of water or aqueous liquids\/moist materials (incl. wood) \u2013 detuning, absorption, diminished read range \u2013 design considerations like line of sight, tuning power, angling antennas and adding read points.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Other readers in the environment \u2013 interference, diminished read range, data rate, tag reads \u2013 solved by dense reader mode, tuning power,\u00a0gain, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Tagged materials \u2013 can interfere with tag operation due to detuning the tag\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\"><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Metals \u2013 tag is detuned to the point that it does not respond (the metal surface interferes with the tag\u2019s antenna), in addition metal blocks signal<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Aqueous liquids in thin containers, condensation or moist materials \u2013 tag is detuned<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Solution \u2013 use tags specifically tuned\/made for metals or moist materials \u2013 these are specifically tuned and\/or offset from surface to ensure a proper performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Tag position \u2013 sometimes the tag can be placed in a position where the RF signal from the reader has hard time powering it.
