The components and\u00a0services typically provided are:<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Readers<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Antennas<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Antenna\u00a0hubs and multiplexors<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Cables<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Tags<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Middleware (to exchange\u00a0tag\u00a0data\u00a0between the reader and the system that will process the data)<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Consultancy (RFID hardware selection, process design, tag selection)<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Integration Services (integrating RFID based solutions into existing systems and process environments)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;WHO PROVIDES THESE COMPONENTS AND SERVICES&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%230f4996&#8243; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]There are three major types of vendors:<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i><strong>Hardware Vendors<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 provide readers, antennas, cables, tags, I\/O devices, printers, power supplies, portals, brackets, etc.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i><strong>Software Vendors<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 provide middleware, application software or back-end system<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i><strong>System Integrators<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 design the system, pick out the hardware and software, install the system, integrate the system into existing systems and environment, troubleshoot the system\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i>Sometimes these roles are divided between\u00a0<strong>consultants<\/strong>, that provide only the hardware\/software selection and\u00a0<strong>integrators<\/strong>\u00a0that integrate the components into existing systems and processes but often this is done by one and the same company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row gap=&#8221;30&#8243;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;HARDWARE VENDORS&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%230f4996&#8243; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5 class=\" \" data-wow-delay=\"0ms\" data-wow-iteration=\"1\">READER (PRINTER\/ENCODER) VENDORS<\/h5>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"su-list\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i><strong>Manufacturers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 usually do not sell directly, but work through reseller networks, have only specific brand.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i><strong>Resellers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 buy from manufacturers in higher quantities, sell to customers, often VAR (Value Added Reseller \u2013 which provides configuration, customization, etc.), often sell multiple brands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h5 class=\" \" data-wow-delay=\"0ms\" data-wow-iteration=\"1\">TAG VENDORS<\/h5>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"su-list\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i><strong>Inlay\u00a0Manufacturers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 manufacture only inlays (tag antenna and\u00a0chip\u00a0on a substrate that is to be embedded into a label or other types of tag format) \u2013 dry inlay without adhesive or wet inlay with adhesive (often instead of label). Usually do not sell directly unless very high quantities.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i><strong>Converters<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 buy inlays from manufacturers and integrate them into labels or other types of tags (metal mount, encapsulated, hangtags, button tags, etc.). RFID Printer companies often sell RFID labels and ribbons as supplies for their products.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-caret-right\"><\/i><strong>Resellers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 buy inlays from manufacturers or labels and tags from converters and resell to end users or integrators.
